DHA Indus Hills Karachi: Plots, Map and Location on the M-9

What Is DHA Indus Hills Karachi?
DHA Indus Hills is the newest housing project launched by DHA City Karachi, the M-9 project of the Pakistan Defence Officers Housing Authority, Karachi. Its official name is "DHA City Karachi – Indus Hills", and it has its own website, master plan, payment plans and ballot.
DHA presents Indus Hills as a green, walkable community on hilly land between about 300 and 900 feet above sea level, with an urban forest, a special block for overseas Pakistanis and plots for a range of budgets.
Where Is DHA Indus Hills Karachi?
DHA Indus Hills is on the M-9 Super Highway, on the opposite side of the motorway from DHA City Karachi. DHA's own location map shows Indus Hills next to the end of the Malir Expressway (Shahrah-e-Bhutto), with DHA City Karachi just across the M-9.
On the same map, DHA gives a travel time of about 25 minutes via the Malir Expressway. The best way to see the site and its setting is to visit it with us.
DHA Indus Hills Master Plan
The official master plan shows twelve numbered sectors, most split into sub-sectors such as 4-A or 6-B, along a long main boulevard lined with commercial plots. Residential plots come in many sizes up to 1,000 square yards, and there are separate areas for apartments, town houses and cottages.
Named areas on the plan include:
- Overseas Enclave: the block set aside for overseas Pakistanis.
- Indus Panorama: the main commercial hub near the entrance, with a CBD on the main boulevard.
- The Arc and Global Village: green belts and special zones through the middle of the plan.
- Central Park, Sportsplex and Linear Park: the main open spaces.
- AI Park: an area planned for technology companies.
- Water Front and River Edge Residences: the side along the riverbed.
- Grand Mosque and Urban Forest: a Turkish-style grand mosque and a forest with a goal of 500,000 trees.
DHA Indus Hills Timeline
- April 2025: registration opened for the first ballot, with 5-year quarterly instalment plans.
- July 2025: the first computerised ballot was held, and results went online.
- June 2026: a special registration round for overseas Pakistanis in the Overseas Enclave.
- June to August 2026: DHA City shared video updates of the main bridge over the Khadeji river.
- July 2026: DHA City invited tenders for the 350 ft wide main boulevard of Phase 1C.
- 22 September 2026: the Overseas Enclave plot allocation ballot was held. Results can be checked by CNIC or NICOP on the official website.
Development Work at DHA Indus Hills
Work is moving ahead on the ground. DHA City Karachi is building the main bridge over the Khadeji river to connect Indus Hills, with piling, steel girders and concrete work shown in its 2026 video updates, often with work going on through the night. The 350 ft wide main boulevard of Phase 1C has also gone out to tender.
